There’s been a dramatic rise of Syphilis during the pandemic, including among men and pregnant women. With Syphilis rates soaring, do you know what to do when your patients’ tests come back positive? Come learn how to diagnose and treat syphilis effectively.

By attending the Public Health Updates for Halton Physicians series, participants will be able to identify and discuss relevant and recent information about approaches to the prevention, diagnosis and management of key public health issues impacting their family medicine practice in both rural and urban settings. 

Learning objectives for this session:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
• Describe local Syphilis trends
• Follow the Canadian Guidelines on STIs for the diagnosis, treatment and follow up of Syphilis.

This one-credit-per-hour group learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for 1 Mainpro+® credit. This program is part of a series that has been certified for up to 4 Mainpro+® credits.
